its basically because the phone has run out of ram (the memory it stores temporary stuff in)
i would reccomend upgrading to the latest firmware, then if possible every so often just go into task manager and close all open programs (obviously excep tthe ones your using, like i often leave web open)
there is a program that can do it for you but i cant find it atm (its on this forum somewhere) and im gonna be late for work

Hi Fahaj,
Welcome to ESATO the previous poster is correct, but I would ask the following, did you get your phone from a network provider e,g, Vodafone, Orange etc? If so your first move in my opinion should be to send it to somone like SEunlock for reflashing and unlocking this will do two things:-
1. the phone will be free of all Operator modifications and will run faster and better SEunlock will change your firmware to a one of the generic versions.
2. You will be able to update the generic firmware via SEUS these are released much more frequently than the operator updates.
I did this with my Vodafone branded P990i and it has transformed it TOTALLY and it only cost me £35 (SEunlock offer a discount to ESATO members!)
If you have an operator branded phone do it, you will never regret it.

try to update your firmware and use swiss manager pro 1.51 as your task manager to shut down the application that you not use.

Even with the last FW and Swiss Manager Pro 1.51 th phone still runs out of memory and closes down my browser if I dare using the music player at the same time and nuthin' else. So I'll sell it for this. So much for smart phone...
The M600i won't do that for me even if it is basically the same
f@cking OS!
