Hi QVGA,

The simple answer is they just are more business focused and appear to have more apps that just don't appear on other S60's. Well at least that is the case with the E61 i can't really say about other E Series devices as i haven't used or owned any. But there are quite a few things on the E61 that i never saw or even new existed on my N73 or N93 also the build quality on E series seems to be the best and highly praised even by people who don't own them and wish that all the N series were built as well. I just wish i had found the E61 last year when it was first released to say i like it would be a massive under statement.

Marc

To answer your question directly?
- VoIP (Avaya, Cisco, and Nortel VPN for PBX based phone systems). Lamens terms? Those phones in a corporate office where their connected to a internal switch based on LAN/Internet connection. Advantage for connecting to that switch via VoIP/WLAN/PBX, allows you to accept an incoming call over WLAN (WiFi) that was going to your office phone. So there is NO escaping your office phone. If your an escalation personnel & on-call this is HUGE because you can ALWAYS be reached to resolve or put in motion a resolution.

- VPN apps that truely work with little configuration regarding protocols required to connect to your company VPN server. Authentication, web apps, etc.

- Allowing your HH to be KILLED or fully locked when its reported lost or stolen, when its in signal range, something that is required by IT departments for all company distributed phones (- thank you RIM for starting this concept on your Blackberry line over 7yrs ago).

As this year goes by we'll see MORE competition for media based corporate solutions on smartphones by Microsoft against Nokia's Symbian. While both of those fight to take more corporate sales from RIM.

Does this help answer your question?
