I just finished making my first java game. Its a Pong clone with ai, highscores, options and other cool things.

Would anyone like you try it? Try beating the ai and sending the highscores to the site.

Here is the download link:
http://beta.johnex.se/files.php?op=download&f=/jPong.jar

Notice its a jar file, but its like an exe, just make sure you have the latest Java installed. If you don't java installed, download it from here:
http://java.com/en/download/w[....]pi.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com

Double click on the jPong.jar to start the game. If it doesn't start, place it on your desktop and do this:
Open a console window on your pc. In windows go to start -> run and type cmd.
Then type "cd Desktop" and enter. (without the quotes)
Then type "java -jar jPong.jar" and enter. (without the quotes)

Try playing all the modes in the game, and look at the highscores and change the options.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Place any comments in this thread too.

I have no speed issues, might be your pc. On my 2ghz core2duo, no lag nothing.

I have these threads: Ball, AI, Timer.

Sounds are loaded and played by the walls and paddles. Might be that.

I tried to make it somewhere inbetween hard and easy. You can view the video mode for tips on beating the ai.
Some tips:
Wait till the ball starts to speed up. After every paddle hit, the ball speeds up by 20%. When it gets up to a high speed, make the ball do steep angles by hitting it as close to the edge of the paddle as possible.
