Hello,
I am currently experiencing a problem in that i cant make any calls or send any texts. I cant receive any either.
I have tried my sim card (vodafone) in another phone and it works fine so it must be to do with the phone itself.
Has anyone experienced this or know what i can do about it?
Thanks in advance

That sounds a lot like a blocked phone. Did you buy the phone second hand?

It was fin last night, then when i wke up in the morning it started playing up.
i have just updated the firmware so im hoping that might solve the problem

If it doesnt work, give vodafone a ring and see if a block has been put on your phone.

after the firmware upgrade, it is still coming up with "no network access"
even when it is saying "vodafone UK" and 4 bars of signal i cant make a call. Just getting nothing then "beep beep"

Just like a blocked phone. Give vodafone a ring.

the thing is, i tried my sim in a different phone and it woked fine so i dont see how it can be blocked.
Think i will pop into the voda shop and see what they have to say.

@GriZZla1024
That's because they block the phone IMEI number and not your Sim card everything you describe suggests a blocked phone. Until you speak to VodaFone and check the situation one way or the other there is no point trying to do anything else at all.

Update 2
right, took it into the voda shop and the bloke said that the network had had problems in the morning. He did a hard resent and did a test call and sent a text.. both worked fine. I managed to make one call too. BUT.. tried to make another call and now it is not bloody working again! Is it just me or have others had problems with voda today?
