HI people
as the title says, would you only buy blackberry for its email purposes? What other purposes would you buy it for? Since I see a lot of ppl going for blackberry devices. The way i see it, is that if you are going to be using emails a lot each day and email is really important to you, get a blackberry. Thats the way i see it. Any other thoughts on this matter would be welcome.

indeed, its useful, but way too spesific. for normal usage the e-mail client and some apps ( like gmail app ) is more then enough

I use mine a bit for work but have to say it's a crackin but of kit! Blackberry maps works like google's but you can actually use it for say nav, camera is good, so is the web browser. The I'm client is quick and stable, plus you can download Google talk and yahoo I'm for fee! Video playback is ok, but not great, but the battery life is fantastic considering what it does! Plus I got a White Pearl so it looks the dogs too! :o)

it just works.
it's simple but effective.
i'm neither a biz or heavy email user but i'd be screwed without my BB..
i really can't describe it but it's so refreshing picking up something that works.
not once has it crashed.
We all know how often I change my phone but I've been on BB since Oct last year and while I'm looking to get a new phone it won't be to replace my BB just want something a lil different...
i do however owe my BB experience to tmag, i too was like what do i want a phone that just does email for? but alas, here I am singing the praises of BB..
oh and BB connect on a S60 device just isn't the same chaps.

Ok - Well as i said the other day each to their own and many people try BB Connect on non BB Devices which are great, but i guess until actually owning one and using one, its then it addictive.
Its not just about email, and that is the mainly problem, it can do so much more. With or without Camera....
JiveTalk - an IM program that caters for ALL programs such as Google Talk, Yahoo, MSN
The are loads of PUSH Services straight to your BB, like News, Weather, Sport, Health, Website - any RSS Feeds
And how many phones can you upload the latest OS from any Carrier.
As Fatreg , Zootzoot said, I feel naked without mine...
The list in endless....

The Pearl is a nice handset, I guess blackberry and the OS it uses is a bit like a Mac, which does not crash and is not prone to viruses like windows lol. When the blackberry ppl were at me work, they were saying you can end up sending instant messages etc to other blackberry users and it ends up being cheaper than sending sms?
I was thinking that would be cool though, but if only everyone had a blackberry then it be worth while getting it, if you do tend to send a lot of sms. I can't remember how he explained it works out to be cheaper than sending sms, sending messages by blackberry, but sounds interesting.
