Must be something in with the water making it expand - someone in the comments section suggested baking soda and water, bet it's something like that!

Looks good though!

drag the video slider back and fourth, paying close attention to the collouring. The orrigonal liquid is becoming diluted, hence it getting lighter. I would guess something like milk and water? Its to do with densities, the starting liquid being denser. So as you pour the heaveir liquid sinks to the bottom giving a filling effect.

EDIT

i take it back, if you watch carefully you can see there is a small cylinder attached inside the first cup poured from, so i assume this was filled....and each one after also had a cylinder in.

Actually, I think there's a small cylinder inside every one of the glasses, and it's probably already filled with water. So the first time round, the milk together with all the water in all the cylinders in all the smaller glasses are actually transferred to the bigger glass. Notice how he pours near the edge of the glasses instead of just right into the middle. This is to avoid causing the water already in the cylinder to splash around and giving the game away, I presume. So then eventually when he transfers from the largest glass back to the smaller glasses, there's actually more than enough to go around, especially cos there's an empty cylinder in all the glasses which he doesn't have to fill up. notice he doesn't fill the glasses to their brims. My guess is that the brim of the cylinders are only till that height, so he can't get the water level any higher without some of it going into the cylinder.
