hey ppl,
tellme how are cellphones stolen in your country.!
in my country pakistan, usually two robbers come on 125cc bike,armed,
show their pistols and take everything our wallet,cellphones, money etc etc and runaway..!

later when we lock our cellphones by IMEI, i dun know how the F*** they flash it back and the fone starts working again with sum other IMEI

Here in SA they use any way and any means to get it, a friend of mine was killed about 5 years ago for a bloody 3310!!!

But not worth being killed over I'm sure!

Various ways here - pickpocketed, stolen in house burglaries, or muggers, either using threat of violence or with knives.

Phone thefts are faling in the UK since the operators improved on blocking handsets quicker and more efficiently though, you're average mugger here is too stupid to know about changing IMEIs, let alone being able to do it!

If someone at my uni has a phone someone else wants, they usually get "stalked" and whe they are not looking or if they set it down or accidently drop it without knowing or leave it in their bag that is when they attack. My solution, clip it to my belt with kind of "fasioonable if u will", chain and leave it in my pocket.
