I thought I had figured out. W = , K = Cybershot, P = professional, Z = fashion, J = basic.

Now, what do "T" and "S" mean? Where did/do they fit in the pantheon of phones? "T" and "S" went away with the T616, T637, and S710a. But now we're shown the T250, S500, and T650

Its difficult to know really. I mean what really distinguishes say a k500i and a T650i?

Its difficult to fathom and only those in marketing know the precise reason for assigning each handset its index No.

I suspect the T650i intends to invoke a retro feel, what with its T610 ish colour scheme.

S means special because these phones are special, there's always something in them thats not been seen in an SE phone before.

What's special about the S500? It's just a W580 without the .

By that reasoning, I can only use "T" phones to actually talk to someone

according to batesie, T and S series are supposed to fit in 'emotional' range as well. that would make sense, with T, S and Z forming the 'emotional' range and the index dividing the form factor. K and W series on the other hand are more specialized 'branded' phones? makes sense to me, sort of...

Ah, with T = bar, S = swivel/slider, and Z = clamshell. Makes a bit more sense...

Now, what does "emotional" mean with regards to a mobile phone?
