> k800i Buttons Pealing
Bookmark topic
I have had several k800i’s since release and I’ve noticed one common problem throughout my use/experience with this model number and that is the keys seem to peal/rub off quite fast, my first handset had lost its button covers in under a month and the same happened with my second and third, I’m now on my 5th replacement handset from my network (4th had a 2cm long chip out of the screen, bloody T-Mobile and there refurbs!!). My 5th handset from T-Mobile was a new sealed k800i which I got about 3 months ago, several weeks past and I didn’t seem to have the pealing problem anymore so I guessed something must have been changed with the buttons but lone behold the keys are now pealing/rubbing away again
Has anyone else had this problem with there k800i? and more importantly is there anything that can be done to stop it from happening? I have contacted SE through there website stating my problem and asking for a solution but I’m not sure how long they will take to send me a reply,
/Ste

imo, K800 keypad are not as comfortable as other like W550 or W850 (larger pad)
however there are silicon case made available to avoid such thing, or at least skin your phone... well, the silicon case on my K800 already have scratch in 13 4 & 6 (must be because Asphalt 3 3D!) cause i tend to use my nail to press it. as mentioned before its not as comfortable as w850 or w550 hence i must use nail to ease the usage.
btw if you have K810 it might not happen easily
