Hi, I am new to this forum (although not to the site) so I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong place!
I am currently on my 3rd w610i handset. I think I am going to have to send it back.
The first one had an earpiece problem (buzzy) and the last one had problems with the 4 and 6 keys when texting. Didn't work some of the time. Seems to be slower than the rest or something. There was a delay on my k750i as well but it wasn't the same, that was just slower than my texting speed. I have looked at it and the cursor stops flashing when it won't work. I can't press the 4 key but the other ones work when this happens. The 4 key is bad on this one, rather than the 4 and 6 that was on the other.
I don't think it's the way I am pressing the keys as other people have done it with the phone and I have tried pressing them slowly, quickly, hard, soft!
This phone is perfect for me in every way apart from this fault! Has anyone else had this problem? I have 14 days to send this one back and I don't know what to get to replace it. My recent phones have included a razr and k750i. I used to be a fan of Nokia but I like SE for the main part.
The features I want are:
- Good camera. Must have flash and auto focus.
- Memory expansion (would like to use it as a mp3 player)
- Not too big
That's pretty much it but they are important. I sent the w850i back beacuse of camera problems. I am not a fan of Samsung as they (used to at least) not ring and vibrate at the same time...
I am in the UK and will be getting the phone direct from Vodafone. Any help very muchy appreciated!!!

Sorry, maybe I should have said. I don't really want an old phone. It's an 18 month contract and I don't want to be replacing my phone too many times during that time as they are expensive. I also want a decent resale value.

I have a poorly working handset but it is at the end of the day, the new version of the w810i. Meaning that it has better software, looks better and is worth more. Just a shame that it doesn't work properly (and is too new for glitches to have been ironed out).
The w610i as well as other new models will also be obsolete soon but I want to give myself a headstart.

And yet, my W810 is rock-solid after almost a year, and you're on your 3rd W610...
So, which one is better again?

I think D900 can vibrate and ring at the same time, if yes, then get that, its an awesome phone.
As far as SE is concerned K810 is the only phone to fulfill your needs.

I am not going to get into it any more with you. You have your views, I have mine.
I went into the Vodafone shop yesterday to have a look at what was on offer. The K800i does look to be a really good phone but I think I would find it too bulky. I had a go of one of their w610i and I didn't experience the problem I have with mine. Although, mine is an intermittent fault so it might not mean anything. Gives me some reassureance that they are not all like that! I am becoming more of the thinking that it is a software (T9 specifically) problem actually. Going to speak to Vodafone later and see what they say.
The D900 rings and vibrates at the same time?! That would be good. I always found it ridiculous that Samsung phones were unable to fulfill this basic need!
For the minute, I reckon I am going to perservere with the w610i. It will get sorted eventually. There is just nothing else out there that I want. I never thought I was that choosy but obviously I am!!!
