Hey can you select where your bluetoothed files get transferred to. I want them to go to the memory card not the internal memory. Any tips?

Im trying to bluetooth a video to my p990 from a k800 but its a big file and wont automatically go to the card.

it's gonna take you a long time to bluetooth something too big for the internal memory. How mcuh space on internal memory? Once it's saved on internal you can move it to the mem card.

only on Nokia's - SE bluetoothed items go to their respective folders - ringtones to the sounds folder, pictures to the images folder, games to the games folder etc.

Thanks for the replies all. Looks like the bottom line is dont recieve any bluetooth files bigger than the internal memory. Ah well.

Yes, that is correct so far.

By the way, who invented the word: to bluetooth ? I understand to send something via bluetooth but to bluetooth.... is like people that say they Xerox instead of, they make a copy on a Xerox (or any other) machine?!?! Where is our language going? Never saw this wording before.

Just a thought...

Lol, don't think its so much a problem as xerox, sellotape, portakabin etc in that bluetooth is more a standard than a company name. Although perhaps instead of calling someone we should say 'i'll vodafone you'

Going back on topic, i thought that any bt files always show up as new messages until saved. I'm sure the p990 had an option to change location of message inbox? Will have to double check.

on symbian phones maybe, I know my N70 does that, but non-smart SE phones bluetooth to the folder for that file type, or the other folder if not a recognised file type.

Well I guess saying "can you send me that file via bluetooth" is a LOT more cumbersome than just saying "bluetooth me that file"

Likewise we say "mail me" rather than "send me a letter via the postal service" or "phone me" rather than "contact me via telephone"

Xerox is a company name, bluetooth is the name of a communication medium. It's a generic term unlike Xerox.
