What is the maximum number of Bluetooth devices that a P990i or a W950i can connect to at once?
The reason I want to know is, if the HBH DS 970 will send me TomTom voice directions whilst the phone is already connected to my GPSlim 236 GPS reciever also via Bluetooth?
Any input greatly apreciated

I think you can have one of each type of connection at a time. So you could run serial and headset at the same time.

Hi batesie, I connect my GPS to the phone but I am getting fed up with having too many wires to unplug each time I get out of the car (charger headset etc)
so I wondered if used the HBH DS970 as my headset
A. would the phone allow 2 consecutive BT connections
B. If the HBH DS970 would transmit the voice direction commands
I did have a HBH DS970 until last night I bought it on ebay (against my better judgement) but I am certain it was a "Jeckl" as it kept going wrong the fact I could not turn the damn thing off was a major problem so I backed it last night!
I would buy another from a proper source but need to find out if the phone will work with it and gps at the same time.

Hi batesie, I connect my GPS reciever to the phone as I run TomTom on the phone not from a dedicated TomTom unit, but I am getting fed up with having too many wires to unplug each time I get out of the car (charger headset etc)
so I wondered if used the HBH DS970 as my headset

don't know about gps receiver , my p990 can connect to my mbw-100 watch my hbh-660 headset at the same time but if mt computer connects the hbh-660 headset loses connection but if a call comes in it reconnects and disconnects my computer the watch remains connected at all times.

Hi Nitro,
Not 100% sure of this but i seem to remember people complaining that Tom Tom only comes out of the speaker on the P990 and that it wasn't very loud and i don't think it will route to a bluetooth headset. Which i did find strange as on my N93 it routed to the bluetooth headset, if you read the P990 Tom Tom thread I'm sure it is mentioned in there. But you should have no problems connecting the P990 to a GPS receiver by bluetooth and using the HBH-DS970's IMO.

Yes it works fine on W950 with DS970 . To connect more than one BT device, ensure 'Enable power saving' is NOT selected in the Bluetooth Control Panel app. However, if you run TomTom in demo mode when the GPS is not connected by BT, the audio is quite broken. I think this is because the phone continually looks for the GPS unit trying to establish a connection. In real life (on the road) it works fine.

I bought another HBH DS970 this weekend my last one was 100% a counterfeight item (my own fault dont by these on Ebay!) and it works like a dream with my P990i and my Holux GP slim 236 GPS reciever.
Thanks to all of you for all you help
