Nokia has the 5000 series I think, which is meant for vigorous outdoors activities. might be worth a try? or are you looking for SE in particular?

Nokia's 5140 could take a fair bit of rough n tumble but hav'n't seen one new for a couple of years now.

The Nokia 5500 is the latest dust/water resistant phone i know of!

don't make a phone specifically for that sector of the market, but the main reason I now use and not Nokia is having worked on building site's for the last 11 years, out of the 6 Nokia's I have owned only one lasted a full 12months on site, yet i have never had a go down with bad health yet, even my K750i lasted 12 months before the joystick started to play up!

Siemens kept making them up until they were bought out, so the M75 should be a steal on ebay, and was a more powerfull rival to the 5140i

if you're looking for something rudimentary and basic, maybe the Motorola FONE F3 would serve you well? it's basic to the extreme, but a lot tougher than most of the phones out there.

The gadget show once tested the Nokia tough phones. They proved to be resistant:

-To dust (while place inside a vacuum cleaner)
-To water (while being blasted by a fire engine hose)
-To heat/fire (while on a barbeque)
-To knocks (while being dragged through water, mud and stones on a motorbike)

My Nokia 5100 took one HELL of a beating before it died. We played football with it indoors (so it hit wooden cabinets, floors, walls, ceilings etc many many times), took it for a 'bike ride' and let it drop in puddles and then get it run over by our bikes. Then stomped on it in a muddle puddle. Then eventually I literally drowned it. I took the battery and back cover of, held the battery flap open and held it underwater until it drowned lol.

And then it STILL came back to life later on!
