Hi. I have had this problem since about a year, and although it's not that bad, I'd like to fix it.

I don't know what mp3 player I installed and uninstalled, but the phone suddenly started reporting that "No viewer can be found on your device to open this file" whenever I received an mp3 file.

The icon for the mp3 files changed to a small page with a "?" on it.

I know this is happening because the other program set itself as the default mp3 player, and when I uninstalled it, it took the association with it and didn't restore the original one.

The question is, how do I reassociate the mp3 files to the standard P910 music player?

Thanks in advance for any help I can get!!

Can you still open the music player?

If not would flashing the handset not be the best idea?

The music player works fine, in fact, if I receive a wav file or a midi, it allows me to open it in the music player

The problem is only with MP3 Files

Here are several other files in the Beamed section of the received messages.

The only ones with that icon are the MP3 files

Any ideas???

what happens when you save the file does it work then?

just been playing with my old p910 sending files from my p990 to see if you can change the program its opened with but cant find anything, really dont think there is an option to do that y not do a back up and do an update for it the just restore.

see if that does anything. other than doing that dont think there is anything else that can be done.

The problem with the backup/restore stuff is that my sms don't get saved (I've done it once).

amanno1:
What are those wwr filters? or how do I use them?

Thanks
