Ive downloaded my network internet settings and that works fine (surfing is very nice on the p990

)
But now I cant seem to connect to wifi. I tried that auto wizard for setting up a new account but can anyone tell me step by step what I have to do to get my wifi working.
It wep encrypted and im not sure if all the right parts were selected when setting up the new account.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Im not sure. The phone im thinking.
When I had my n95 after using the wizard I was able to browse right away.
But it seems the settings have to be configured a bit more in depth here.
Can anyone give me some generic steps to what I should be putting in each option when setting up a new wlan account please.
Thanks

For basic wep:
Hit the Wifi icon, press scan, highlight your router and press the green arrows.
* You should be prompted for more info
Authentication: Open
Network mode: Infrastructure
hit the black arrow
Data encryption: WEP
hit the black arrow
Default WEP key: 1
Define WEP key: #1
WEP key type: Hex or ASCII (based on your router settings)
WEP key: the key
If you've already tried setting this up you may need to edit the setting. This can be done via: Arrow at bottom left -> Connections -> Manager -> Connectiions mgr (at the top) -> Settings -> Internet accounts then jump to *

On ur pc, open the connection status (connected through adsl). Check what is the IP Address. Add 1 to the last digit of the IP address and enter that in ur phone. Example, if the ip address is xxx.xxx.xxx.xx3 then put xxx.xxx.xxx.xx4 in ur phone's wifi account. This is what I read on esato and it actually worked.

Thanks all for your replies.
My password is name + 4 digit number so is this ascii right?
When I go to enter this password it doesnt accept it and says "5 or 13 characters"
Why does this happen?
