Hi,

I am considering buying a SE P990i (can't wait for the P1 as it is for my new job) and I am trying to read lots of threads about the phone. Hard to get a proper understanding of how users of P990i are experiencing it.

So, how satisfied are you with your P990i? Can you recommend me buying one or shall I look at any other phone (want a SE phone at least)?

Thanks

Yeah, many threads are older and many have been very negative to the P990i then. Would be intresting to hear what people think of the phone today.

I recently bought mine and I am impressed with it, if it is a bit laggy. Mine still has Vodafone sw on it but I know where to get one for less than £200 del new and unbranded.

However, I'm looking forward to the next SW update which is mooted for the end of the month.

The touch screen and web browsing are particulary good, the handwriting recognition is also impressive for writing emails etc with some practice you can use it quickly and proficiently.

Haven't downloaded many apps yet (doing this right now actually) so looking forward to trying whats on offer.

Being able to browse the web via my wireless home broadband is also something that I am looking forward to setting up.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd say I am about 7 atm but hopefully this will improve in the coming weeks.

So many of the problems that you can read about has been fixed and with the latest software, P990 is a good phone? Sounds like I won't make a bad choice choosing the P990. And I can't wait for the P1 unfortunately

Got mine at the start of the year and have enjoyed it very much, takes a while to get used to its quirks but well worth learning. A solid feeling phone no flimsy bits or loose fittings, all in all well made, software wise its nearly there too
Good deals to be had now too, I'd say get one, I'll be keeping mine for a good while...

cheers majikman

Same here.

I was holding out for the next smartphone but I just got sick of waiting but really, 2.0mp v 3.2mp and the size are the only major differences I can think off right now.

Got mine like 3 months back.

A bit of problems here and there, but overall, the phone is still amazing.

I liked the fact that it finally has FM radio, and are able to play real format media files.

Bugfixes are kinda something you'll have to wait for tho.

Cheers !
