Right know we have about 15 -16 mb of ram at start and about 60 mb of internal memory, if pagingfile will be about 10 mb we will have 50 mb of internal memory and 25-26 mb of ram at sturt i think its normal

I agree with you.Now almost everything is saved in external memory so why do we have to keep internal memory with that size it's too big I think 20-30 mb is enough now I can't run some app because lack of memory.

this will never happen. u think if they were smart enough to have such feature, than they would also thought that 60 MB is not enough.
it will take a whole new OS for that.....i also had another idea, to have the phone capable of RAM extension, like PCs again. Just buy another GIG and insert it...and now you have a faster computer.
but hey, this is a smartphone, not a PC.

If only the RAM capacity could be increased by means of the memory stick insertion. then memory problems is not anymore an issue. i think page file usage will be utilized only for windows mobile OS not in any other OSes. the above mentioned idea would be a better if only possibly done for UIQ.

the problem with expandable memory for paging file use is it has a limited lifecycle, like only several thousands writes or something. So while you'll rarely hit the life cycle with normal use, a paging file would wear out the expandable memory card very quickly.

If the expandable memory was a micro-hdd this wouldn't be an issue, but micro-hdd are still expensive and large (larger than M2 anyway)
