Ok, in my local mobile phone shop, the man was selling a pair of black HMP-70 in-ear headphones for £5
Now, the packaging looks kinda real, but is there anyway to tell if they are fake?

usually one can tell by directly comparing an original HPM-70 with the 'fake' ones. the orange print would somehow be 'off', maybe slightly thicker or thinner. and the SE logo would usually be off alignment, a bit turned around.

i saw hpm-70 and normal streoheadsets too, whichlooked like almost as the generic se ones, but when u touch it and focus on smaller aparts, u can recognize differences. had already some in my hand, so u can see and feel it on the plastic, and the logo on the earbuds are a bit other as well, not so shiny, more pale

Hmm...I'll try and see if it has a Gold Plated phono end, without opening the package.
Oh yeh, the package. It was in a white and orange packaging, does that make a difference?
Also, the bits of the headphones that were meant to be in orange (the "L/R" on either earphone) were kinda dark, a bit brownish
