> P990 Restore to replacement phone?
Bookmark topic
I've just had my replacement p990 through after loosing my old phone. I have been unable to restore any of the backups i took religiously as they seem to be coded to the old phones IMEI?!! I need my data back, so I need some way to edit the backup file, or somehow emulate my old IMEI number for the restore process?
Can anyone help please!?!?

I used to break my p900 screen a lot and had a few replacements from orange and would have to do what you want to do.
I used to backup the empty new phone, then rename the old backup with the new backup name and restore the renamed old backup to the new phone.
I havnt tried this with my p990 as i havnt broken it yet.
