I will be going in to town on the weekend to get a new contract phone. I have made up my mind on what network and tariff I am going to go with but its been a while since I’ve looked at handsets so I have no idea what the “high-end” handsets available at the moment are or which one I should choose – do any of you guys have any recommendations for me?

I need a phone for day to day calling and txting, mp3 player for work and a half decent camera for random pics – battery life is very important

but also have a k800i but the g/f normaly uses it

A K800i or a W810i will suit you fine. I haven't mentioned newer models since their keypads aren't very comfy.

then imo w810 would perfectly fit your needs. if i were u, visit some shops tomorrow, sit down, leave yourself time, check, test all the fones u like and when u got home, search here for personal experiences ( we got a lot of here ), before u make the right decision. its esaier to advice u, when u hd the fone already in your hand, otherwise we can tell u endless stories...

i had a w810i last year but it kept having problems so they replaced it with a k800i which i also had a lot of problems with (5 handsets in a month)

Not sure really, two friends just got new phones - one got the nokia n95 and the other got the w880 and i think both seem awesome handsets but i dont mind waiting if something else is on the horizon
