I'm not sure this is possible. Google only lets you install it directly to the phone; it's not downloaded onto a PC first for later transfer and installation. And once downloaded, it installs itself, with no option to copy it anywhere.

It's the same story for this alternative.

Sorry

true that darth.paul
BUT..

Mobile GMaps is a FREE application that displays Google Maps, Yahoo! Maps, Windows Live Local (MSN Virtual Earth) and Ask.com Maps and satellite imagery on Java J2ME-enabled mobile phones, PDAs and other devices. MGMaps can connect to a GPS receiver over bluetooth or use internal GPS features on some phones in order to automatically display the map for your current position...

this is why i mentioned this one instead..bu hey same thing pretty much except mobilegmaps display different provider maps too

Well, if the app is already to big for your data plan, you might want to consider upgrading it before you play around with satellite image data and maps on the phone...

You can change the user agent of your pc browser, to your phone. And then access the site using opera on pc. Download the app. Enjoy..

absolutely!!! Honestly, if downloading the apps is a prob moneywise, totally forget about using the app - it'll ruin you!
