I updated my firmware to R5A17 and I think it was a big mistake!..read again, it was a big mistake. I don't see any speed improvement. Infact, i don't see any changes.
Anyway, coming to the point, I miss 2 important functions in the new release:
1. alarm (frigging so low, i am going to office so late these days!)
2. no more video camera auto-focus feature (it was a hidden gem)
So, I want to go back to an older version. Is it possible ?
thanks for your expertise. I am sure some of you have an answer for this.
This whole p900 firmware thingy has become a nightmare. On top of paying so much money for these phones, we have to waste so much time in getting it working.
SonyEricsson is using us (customers) as their QualityAssurance people. Dirty trick.

1. check the forum. it's been posted so many times. you have to change your previuos alarm sound to a short one (default tone for example). This will turn really loud pretty quick as it is a very short tune
2. that did not work if you were to move the camera around anyway.
but there ARE really big improvements on the stability, in case you did not notice, the phone is not rebooting arbitrarily anymore.
and as far as going back, I guess only a SE center will do.
