hope Mindstorm doesn't mind me butchering one of his pics to show where i feel the p-series must go.

what does every1 think? No need to point out that my image editing skills aren't exactly professional...

i just feel that they need to merge the screen size from the p910 and the qwerty keypad from the m600 then the form factor would be perfect. The flip on the p990 seems pointless to me as it doesn't dramatically increase the screen size.

nice to see you getting creative...

however, honest criticism: that design is going nowhere. the QWERTY becomes unusable in full screen mode?

and its heading back towards the p990 design, with flip etc. this design will be seen in future successive models to the p990.

the whole point of the P1 i think was to reduce size and retain most upper-end P-series functions. the upper-end (p990 onwards) will still have a larger screen, and in all likelihood separate number pad and QWERTY board.

but keep evolving that design... lets see what you come up with

@bondizi

i understand your criticism of not being able to use qwerty in full screen mode but why would you need to? no need to use full screen when writing emails or txt's.

The extra screen size would be for internet browsing, videos and programs.

Thanks for your input tho!

@Nitrowing

obviously the keyboard would be removable and the 5-way jog dial would be back!

I'd agree with umar that the next logical step is a sliding keyboard which can be removed.
