Does read these forums? You'd be surprised... the president of VW of America became a member of, routinely posted to, and conversed via PMs at VWvortex, a VW enthusiasts' site.

In the off chance we have a similar situation here, why not start an "official" feedback thread?

I'll start (with full admission of my US bias). While I'm overall pretty pleased with mobiles - I wouldn't be here if I wasn't - I'd like to see the following changes.

A true Nokia N95 competitor. We've seen this discussed here on Esato often, in one form or another.
More quad-band models. There's no reason for tri-band any more. Even Motorola knows this, and Nokia is slowly catching on.
Worldwide 3G connectivity, like the HTC Hermes. (The Hermes has Cingular's 850/1900 and T-Mobile-USA's 1750/2050, in addition to the rest of the world's 2100, all in one device.)
A more idiot-proof firmware update utility. The current process feels like the GSM equivalent of the hokey-pokey: turn off phone, remove battery, hold "C" key, hop on one foot, roll dice...
Ditch the Memory Stick format and switch to Secure Digital like everyone else
No more keypads like the W880 or K550! Nor the W300! You hit the nail on the head with the W810 - stick to that design and layout.
A built-in 3.5mm stereo headset jack. It's aggravating to have miles and miles of wire added by the wired headset, when using one's own headphones. And that headset is totally unnecessary when the phone is in Airplane Mode.
A non-frightening USB connection mode. Motorola's phones are much more stable in this regard, and don't require a reboot, either.
True USB 2.0 connection speeds when in "mass storage" mode. Until then, you may as well just include a USB card reader with the phone and leave it at that.
Cross-platform desktop computer support. No reason why you can't develop Mac and Linux versions of your software (PC Suite, SEUS, etc.). Nokia's figured this out already, at least for the Mac.
Give up on Disc2Phone. Instead, provide support for leading music software like Apple iTunes and Windoze Media Player. How else are you going to steal sales away from the iPod and other dedicated music players? Again, Nokia's beat you to this.

They should - one day Sony will realize the folly of imposing its own proprietary format on a market that has already decided to use a standard format. It happened with VHS vs. BetaMax, and it'll happen with HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray. The difference is, there is no appreciable difference between MDSP and SD, except that SD prices are lower, and more than 2 companies produce them.
