if you merely talking about tech development i would agree tho, since sony hasn't really done much lately. However, i tend to think that they actually has started to take lead to give direction of where the future mobile phone should go ^___^ isn't it a good thing?

motorola now is adopting SE's best pic technology, nokia is adopting SE's idea of integrating xenon flash to camera phone, SE is the leader to create such thing called as fully featured mp3-phone, namely Walkman branded phone, thus summoned Apple to create Iphone, Nokia to make their music series phone like N91, 5300. Hasn't they move very smartly? guess whats coming next?

PS: i would bet that Nokia and other companies will started to adopt the SE's idea to make the keypad's light animated, just like what T650 can do, or like S500-adjustable theme. Not to mention, if one's has seen SE's tech in japan, those bravia phones, which is due soon for worldwide version, i bet Nokia and other companies will also follow this pathway too. And just a little note, Nokia's move was not as smart, look at the N-gage phones and N95 ^___^ are they giving the customer what they want?

Nokia, Samsung and Moto would score way above SE any day of the week, SE just don't do enough radical things, Nokia win for it's sheer ability to show horn anything into a phone, Samsung are constantly pushing the boundaries on what camera you can get in a phone and moto always win for their design and workmanship.

SE need to pull their fingers out if they are gonna win any proper awards...

Totally depends on which aspect of technology your talking about, if it's the phoneCAM aspect, SE is actually at the forefront!!
Way too many people on this SE site are far too quick to write them off!!

making feature packed phones doesnt make a company far more technologically advanced.... has the technology, they just choose not to implement it into their phones...... guess its just up to company executives to decide whether they make use of the technology or not....

implementing new technology in a phone wise, SE is absolutely nowhere! i dont know why thats surprising to you and dumb. seems like a fairly straight statement pointing out the obvious.

SE being the smallest giant phone company disables them to produce too high-spec phones. nokia motorola and samsung have lots of money to burn in investing and making quality phones even though they wont be for mass market. SE's perspective is different, so what if SE was born at the same time as nokia Moto or samsung was, then for sure time will give SE so much advantage to invest and make a super phone even though they wont be best sellers.=D
