I bought the k610i on the network '3'
I was having a fiddle around and I accidently pressed something, and now I have a world/globe symbol in the top left of my screen which sometimes flashes dull and then back to blue.
I'm worried that this is going to make me pay extra on top of my contract.
What is this symbol, and how can I get rid of it?

How do I disconnect? Because when I do what the instructions tell me to do (go on browser and go 'more' and 'exit browser') it is still there.
I took the battery and SIM out aswell and it is still there.

If you go into the mrnu, select 'settings', then go to the 'connectivity' tab and then 'data comm.' there should be a 'close connection' option, which shouldn't be greyed out - try pressing this.
Could be something to do with 3's settings, it shouldn't be charging you, it's probably to go to their homepage - which is free to browse.

The only other thing I can think of to try is going into the 'mobile networks' option on connectivity and selecting 2G only and see if that helps at all.
Yes, best other option is to phone the place you got it from, they should be able to sort the problem if all else fails!

u cant disconnect, its the crappy 3 fw... i hated that too when i used it for a short time, not sure, why 3 decided for thet feature or sy made shit...
