Does anyone know if o2 have a size limit on mms messages. I have been playing about with http://www.coolmobile.com and i can recieve small messages but get corrupt messages when i try to recieve larger ones > 20k i think.

Also, can mms messages be sent cross network yet?

I'm on Orange and have noticed that I can't send anything more than 20-25k...

Don't know about cross network, all my mates are on Orange...

The last thing I heard was that early in the new year the 4 brit phone companies should enable cross network mms. However, I'm sure they realise that it would make good business sence to get it working before New Years Eve!

It would be brilliant PR for the networks to release x network mms before the New Year but in terms of revenue, most if not all service providers have made a committment to give free mms until end of Jan.

I doubt they will rush somehow

Too true, i can see it now:

"Due to a high demand for cross network mms messages, the main mobile networks have commited to enabling this feature by christmas BUT messages which are to mobiles on other networks will be charged at the normal rate (about 40p per message) during the free message period offered by these networks. This is due to the extra cost of cross network messaging. The networks have justified this exception by the fact that this functionality has not previously been planned until the new year and was never intended to be part of the free service...."

You're probably right though, they would probably get in a lot of trouble for that!!

I thought you had seen that somewhere for a moment!!

I would still be happy to pay for x network mms - bored with being confined to just O2.

Yeah, i would be willing to pay as well.

It would be a real test as to the stability of the mms servers thats for sure, and then all the sms's "Did you get my mms?" nightmare!!!!
