> sad loss of Cutty Sark
Bookmark topic
felt somewhat sad over news this morning of a fire that has devasted the Cutty Sark "the Ferrari of tea clippers". Many of us in the southern half England would've visited either HMS Victory or the Cutty Sark when at secondary school... it really is a great shame.

apparantly half the boat had been taken away during the restoration and the rest is a bit charred but will be able to be restored ok

^ Well that's good I suppose...
Apparently they're treating the incident as "suspicious"

I had the pleasure of the Mary Rose, and that is a wreck!!!
I see they don't think anyone had any grudges against the cutty sark!? what the hell!? it's a 250 year old boat... who would have a grudge against it!?

Have great childhood memories of the Cutty Sark....at least its comforting to know that most of the ship wasn't there and can be rebuilt!
Hope they catch the culprits who did this and send them to Guantanemo...somehow can't see this as being accidental, but i may be wrong?
