Besides Firmware updates - will it erase my settings? My contacts? My custom media (added themes, ringtones, etc.)?

Because of this problem, I plan on reflashing my phone via SEUS. Before I do, I want to first find out what I might lose in the process.

Thanks...

with SEUS:-

on the non SE symbian phones you don't lose anything

however on the SE symbian phones you lose everything

if you use 3rd party firmware updaters (davinci etc) you always lose everything.

SEUS prompts you to back up a UIQ3 handset before any updates are run (I think it has TWO prompts off the top of my head).

This is for a W810, so no UIQ.

I really hope this fixes my reminder time-stamp problem. It's driving me crazy.

Dammit, I re-applied the latest FW, but the reminder problem is the same. What now?

id reflash with davinci, or phoneXS++ if you have successfully got FAR+SEFP+Breakin method working as bruteforcing just isnt worth the €10 save.

ull have to back up everything first though

I'm not doing anything that voids my warranty. I've already replaced this phone twice... for free via thanks to the warranty.

I'll just wait for the next FW version to come out, and send it off for reflashing. (There's a very professional service in Boston that does it for a small fee.)

in my country i haven't heard of anybody sending his phone to service and repairing it. they always have something to say to void the replacement....
