Recently i bought a HPM-70 headset for my K800i. But when I connect the headset, i cant call out. The calling out will be stopped also immediately. If there's incoming call, the set will auto answer and then hang up. Music plays no problem. I thought the headset was faulty and made a change. But the second set still behave the same.

Anyone knows what is the fault and how to overcome? Thanks

I have never heard of such a problem. I hse my HPM-70 headset daily without any problems like that. However, since your phone functions perfectly without the headset, it seems like you have a faulty HPM-70. To be more precise, I would guess that the answer button on the microphone seems to be short-circuited, i.e. pressed all the time.

Thanks for the replies.

I read somewhere in this forum that the fast port convertor to 3.5mm is also behaving this way, i.e calls autoanswer then hang up.

I have changed 2 sets but they are still the same.. My latest set now.. i have remove the answer button on the headset out of frustration.. but still the same.. I'm suspecting the sets are fake.

As far as I know, there is not an 'official' fastport to 3.5 mm jack adaptor from , all of them out there are from 3rd party vendors. It might be a design mistake, erroneous device, ot intentionally by design, since the adaptor does not contain a microphone. Anyway, the adaptor I use to connec tthe phone to a pair of PC speakers does not behave like this, when I get an incoming call ,the phone rings until I answer, like normally.
