Hi all, i got a AT&T unlocked t68i but I want to use it with my Tmobile account. So i have the sim in and everything is working regarding making phones, copying contacts etc. However, I always get a GPRS failed when I try to connect through WAP, I was wondering, is it true that WAP may also be locked to AT&T? I used SE GPRS configurator and it sent me a profile, I tried connecting with that, and I also just got another error, anyone know what the problem is? I don't have T-zones activated, however, my cousin has a Motorola T720i and without T-zones activated he can connect to WAP, however he bought that phone from Tmobile, thats why I am worried the browser may be locked to AT&T, if so does anyone know people that can unlock the WAP?

First of all, is your SIM and mobile account enabled for GPRS?
You need to call up your service provider and ask them to enable GPRS on your account. If you are enabled (and you can access GPRS from another mobile phone using your SIM card) then it could either be your phone settings or the phone itself.

You need to setup a wap profile for T-Mobile in your phone. You will have to get the settings from T-Mobile or just copy it off a T-mobile phone. Very easy.

Hi Guys,
These are the WAP settings used for Rogers AT&T in Canada for an unlocked phone. So you could give them a try.
Here's the link, it's posted 2 or 3 in the middle or so.

Also if you dig around i'm sure there's settings somewhere in esato
Hope it helps,

Oh yeah, you might need to do a master reset first. (make sure you back up all your stuff) I had to do it before to get my wap to work. I think i did see the t-mobile settings somewhere though????

I went thought the same thing and let me tell you it's a pain in the ass. Master Reset - don't work.
First off you have to pay for the data services. No pay - No play.
Second - you have to configure your phone - Configs at the end.
Third - NEVER POWER OFF YOUR PHONE - work around.
Foruth - ignore thrid and flash your phone to a non-AT&T version of software.
Here's the deal. AT&T, contract with SonyEricsson to not only lock the phone, but also lock the data services. Those bastards. So here is what I did to fix the problem. I purchased a log - select your favorite and then flash your phone with a non-AT&T version of code. This will affectivly make your phone a virgin phone, which is what eveyone wants. Once you do that, program in the data service configs for t-mobile, you have to pay for the service - and have a blast.
Okay - warning about flashing a phone. Mine works just fine after the flashing. However, some people with certian verions of hardware seem to loose the blue tooth capability. Not sure why, but you have been warned.
I would use the codes from the following URL and read the warning, again. URL: I will post the URL tomarrow.
I do have a single log left, which can be used to unlock the phone. If you want the log it's 10pounds, which is what I paid for it.
If you have any questions, please e-mail me, I'll try to answer them the best I can.

Sorry for how nasty the cut and past it
