Sony Ericsson today announced it has become a member of the WiMAX Forum, WiMAX allows high-speed internet access from laptops, phones or other mobile devices over larger distances than previous technologies such as Wi-Fi.

The WiMAX Forum is an industry-led non-profit organization comprising more than 440 companies committed to promoting and certifying interoperable WiMAX products. They could(should? ) exist already.....Ericsson have been playing(well, working then) with WiMAX(and been a Forum member) for nearly 2 years, IIRC!

Together with the battery from the w25s of japan...should give you a days worth of usage on wifi

@Falkon Don't confuse wifi with wimax ! As for SE - better late then never They've missed the EDGE train and the wimax mobile standard has already been defined! (The first Laptop wimax pcmcia cards are on the way) I hope the royalties SE will have to pay to the 'founders' won't be too steep. Otherwise SE will only implement Wimax in a handfull of models
