I've heard a lot of people saying MegaBass is the most overrated thing from Walkman phones, that it fúck up the sound quality, etc.

I always listen to my music in MegaBass, I think it sounds better than any other equalizer option. My question is... do you use MegaBass? Do you think it provide better or worse sound quality? Which equalizer settings you use?

Thanks in advance

yeah, the SE megabass has really bad distortion at high volume levels, and also overall music quality is bad as it has hissing and what not, but thats why some folks at se-nse made custom acoustic packs, so much better, if you are using the right one tho, i suggest using rufinus' v3 acoustics, they have really good bass with the megabass preset.

btw, to test ur bass difference, try listening to songs with high bass, like chamillionaire riding, or something like that

I do the equiliser manualy, i find putting all the bars up makes the music louder and has less distortion than mega bass and is lowder through the speakers

in walkman phones (i have one W800) megabass makes a lot of difference than other equilzer settings. i personally love bass and megabass just helps in outputing extra bass. those who say there is no difference plz use ur headphones. there is no difference through loudspeaker. well the effect of megbass is so high that at full volume the sound distorts. i won't call this a disadvantage as the speakers just dont support it. so its better to use megabass when not listening at full volume. in my P990 the case is slightly different. the megabass is not that strong and even the volume is low. so megabass is the best equilizer setting for my P990 especially. when i use it with my home theatre.

i was actually satisfied with mega bass, but dont forget, the quality depends on the mp3 file aswell. have to admit, at mega bass i used sually 80% max 90% loudness

Megabass makes a difference, although the difference is not always positive.. Some songs sound better on "voice" or "treble boost".
