I read somewhere on this forum about downloading Mobyexplorer to remove protected files as I have the annoying "Greeting" ringtone which keeps appearing in my W810i walkman player.
Ok, so I downloaded the program and opened it up, but every file shows up except the protected Sony Ericsson ones, so I can't delete it.
The program is the unregistered version, will I have to pay for it before it will delete the file?

MobyExplorer worked on my W880i. Just unchecked the read only option on the ringtones and deleted them

Mmm, the read only option is already unchecked, but still the file won't show up.

Because Greeting is in /tpa/user/audio (in the phone's internal file system; not with java apps). Java apps get access to /usb/audio etc.
Use far manager.

i tried it with moby memory and other file managers as well in nokia fones, no chance to delete any pre installed items and its better not to experiment with it, u can cause really bad bugs in the fone.

That's the path I have taken, but as I said the file I want to delete is hidden.

In settings on MobyExplorer check the box to show hidden files
