Hello!
I want to paint my SE P990i black, but is this possible? I know it's many things that can't be painted, like the numbers and letters under the buttons, the internet-button etc. But has anyone tried to paint it and can confirm that it is possible? I am afraid that I will just destroy the whole housing, and I don't want to risk that.

For those who are from Norway, look here for a more detailed version (yes, my English sucks, that's why I haven't translated eveything into English): http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=772585&st=0

I think painting the phone isn't that good idea. After all you could search to find any black housing for the P990 (if there is available). It won't be genuine , but what choice you have.

If I find a black housing, it will of course not be genuine, but I don't think it exists either. Therefore, I want to paint it myself, not buy it (just buy a regular silver housing and paint it). Of course, it may be a difficult job to do, but I am curious about how I'll be able to keep the letters and numbers below the buttons. I'll take out the QWERTY keyboard, but the flip needs to be painted too

I have no idea further . It's a bit tricky job to do. The letters are too small to be covered with something .

the ony remotely concievable way i can think of is using really tiny stickers, or using a computer to either paint on the letters or etch them into the paintwork. but the computer route would be mega expensive

Yes, the letters are to small to cover. The only solution I can come up with, is to not paint the flip. But it wouldn't look good, right?

You can leave the upper part and the kaypad silver as it is. Paint only the middle one that is grey.

That's a good idea. I have thought about something like that, but I would paint it in two colours (dark gray and black). The problem is that I have to cover everything, but if I do as you say, so is it not necessary. But on the other hand, would it look good, or would the contrasts between silver and black bee too large?

Anyway, I've found out that it's to hard to do something with the letters on the flip, so if I paint my cellphone, I'll not do anything with it. Just remove it
