Im going to get a contract with three this week but i want to keep my o2 pay as you go number. If i get my PAC code from o2 as soon as i get it will they dissconnect me? and does anyone know how long three take to get it up and running?
Also how long will i be without a number if at all?
Also say after my three contract ends and i want to move to another network again will they allow me to keep my number?

you will not be disconnected immediately on getting a PAC code. You must supply the PAC code to another network and only then does the process of porting begin. You will be advised of a change over time and usually you are only offline an hour or two from the disconnection of one network to the reconection of another
secondly, yes, you can port a number as many times as you like as long as you meet your contractual requirements

well, you chose 3, not us
but, no matter when the networks agree changeover, the downtime is supposed to be minimal according to the requirements of porting and the couple of times I have done it 2 hours has been the max
