Hello, recently i have bought K800i and noticed that my firmware is R1ED001 released on 6/9/2006. I found that there is newer version R1KC001. I suppose that the newer firmware is better then mine - is it right? I want to upgrade it but have 2 problems:
-I don`t know how to do it
-I have Bulgarian language installed on my phone and i don`t want to lose it. Is there any chance to save it?
Thank you for your help.

The better way to update your phone is updating over FOTA (not SEUS)! Menu-Settings-General-Update service-Search for update. The main advantage in this case is the preservation of CID49.

But not all region is accessible to FOTA, at least here in Indonesia..just once we got FOTA, R1ED001, and then never ever since. We don't even get R1KG001, the latest one via SEUS or FOTA. We're just stuck at R1JG001 and it is only obtainable via SESC and SEUS for free.
And yes, do upgrade your firmware to the latest---R1KG001 ,not R1KC001--- as there are always improvements. Just run SEUS and your Bulgarian will remain there in the phone.

SEUS would deliver CID52 with new firmware. And say good-bye to free improvements and tuning.
FOTA doesn't change CID49 according his present firmware R1ED001.

I don't mind having my CID upgraded to 52 as I am not fond of modification. I guess the OP will do the same as most end users likely do. If not, do as Vicser said.
