I was doing a gig and while i was playing, a pint of water spilt over my phone and i couldn't anything about it because i was in the middle of our last song. I switched it off and tried to dry off as much as possible. The phone is still working fine but whenever it is off the little light that comes on when you need to open the lense cover stays on even if the phone is off. The only way i can stop this happening is by taking the battery out.

What do you reccommend i do to try and fix this annoying little problem?

Do you think it could lead to my phone completely breaking?

Thanks alot for any help ,i only got the phone a couple of weeks back =(

Once water damanged,always water damanged.The should make waterproof phone.Ive got lots of phones and not one has died to water getting in contact with the phone.

Much depends on how long the handset was power on after it was soaked which determines if any component was circuited or not, if any vital parts prone to short circuit were soaked or not, how quickly it was dried etc . etc. Hope nothing serious damage.

Well ive just discorvered the main light on the phone does not work either which is annoying, hope nothing else will go wrong with the phone. Do you think i will be able to fix the light? Thanks for all the help!

Doesn't sound good I'm afraid - you could try a new screen in the phone, if that doesn't work then the connector on the mainboard has become corrupted, and these will be nigh on impossible to replace due to the tiny connectors.

One thing you could try is spraying the contact with something like WD-40, or something alcohol-based, and have heard that ultrasonic baths can fix some water damage, so there may be a bit of hope yet!
