Im begining to think testpoint is my only option - Jus need a guide/tutorial on it. First I will explain my situation.

I have a k750i repair job which will not power up...It only responds with the cruiser/service cable BUT, none of the tools I have can give me a test/CID read out. Im not sure on the CID of the phone...It could be cid49 ( i will tell you why i think this later)

SEMCtool gives the following error;
ERROR: Certificate not find. Please use Recovery!...I have tried setool but it says;

I tried to recover phone using early davinci client 13.8 but i get this error

When I try to recover phone I then get this;

The rejection of the cid36 recovery loader made me think perhaps phone is cid49

I tried sonicbox but this only recovers up to cid36..I tired anyway and got this log

I tried the recovery and still nothing working - Same error

I then tried to connect to Far with cruiser cable - Phone is detected but when I choose Cid36, hangs at loaders (I think its something like Qh.ldr.db2010...) Obviously cid49 wont work in far without the breaker.

I think i need a client with the cid49 recovery loader (like davinci uses the cid36 loaders) or some other advice from someone

Use sonics cracked (I've used topsony's with success) to recover the phone.

Sorry, I just read the last part. If it is CID49, then you will need the testpoint and probably a SETool credit. You could try SEMCTool 8.4?

I have a testpoint made and ready but im unsure where the tp point is on the k750i pcb

Seen this picture but i cant really see...plus ive seen a few other pcs using different areas...Any advise

Using SemcTool - Testpoint gives me this reading

Flash CID: 29

ERROR: 305016

Now that has really confused me - Not sure what the error amounts too either

Flash: CID29 means the phone hasn't been flashed properly when recovering. Try flashing the CID36 EROM with far manager.

Jus to add to this, I did a dummy testpoint test with a perfect working phone without even connecting a test point, and semctool gave the same reading so i assume because im using a cough cough version TP dont actually work properly.... Perhaps

Secondly, I can only part acces the phone in FAR....Infact, once i get to the Flash & FS screen, Far locks up at a certain point whilst trying to load the loaders...Not sure what they mean or why it freezes but this is the screen shot(s)

Seeing as your phone is now CID29, why not try the CID29 script?

That "interesting" version does work fine with TP's afaik. There was one thread on here about a person who finalised his CID49 K750 phone with the testpoint with the odd version of SETool.

Im not cinvinced the phone is CID29 - Semctool said a w550i in perfect working order was Cid29 too....Annnnd, I didnt even connect a testpoint...Its as if its a defualt message or something

In far, the phone is still detected as a k750 etc but there is no CID - Hence the cid00 loader being set, but the phone doesnt respond all the way and times out

This could be a brick...maybe it will jus be sold for spares...screen, buttons, keypads, camera , ribbons etc all perfect
