I think this function is really cool on a mobile phone its called

uTrack

This function significantly increases your chances of recovering a lost or stolen phone by sending an SMS message to a pre-designated number to alert you of when your mobile’s SIM card is changed as well as its location. This helpful feature enables you to keep track of your mobile, even when it is no longer in your possession.

if only other mobile companys introduced a similar feature.

It's unique to Samsung as far as I'm aware, and a bloody good feature too.

It would be great on high value phones like the 8800 Scirocco, what thief wouldn't want one of them.

i have an app called guardian on my nokia e61i...

Basically when my phone is stolen i can send a txt to it saying "stolen" and it starts to emit a very very loud alarm tone from the phone and replies to me with agps (works out ur position by looking at the nearest cell sites etc) coordinates...

It also locks the phone and stops all features on the phone from working... But even if they take my sim out and put theirs in it wont allow them to use the phone until they enter my passphrase...

Hopefully wont have to use it though lol...
