> Sony KDL32V2500

Hi,
I have just bought a Sony KDL32V2500 32 "lcd tv with freeview built in the problem is when i record to my
Sony RDRHX525 dvd recorder if i turn the tv off all i get is a recorded Black screen.
When i record from sky this doesnt happen
Is this a normal or has my tv got issues
or have i connected it incorrectly?

If you turn off the tellyn then you turn off any outputs from the telly to. This will mean that the recorder wont record anything.

Thanks for the reply just got an e-mail from the retailer saying the same thing so basically i can only record from sky if i dont want my tv on

I dont think that there is any television that can output a signal when turned off.

Get a splitter so that you can output from the source to both your tv and recorder. That should solve the problem nicely.

Oops, my mistake. I thought his setup was such that the source was connected to the TV and then from the TV's A/V out to the recorder when in actual fact the TV is the source in this case.
