really hope someone can help here. it is a bit long. apologies.
new W950i. big excitement, till I discover the iSync glitch.
OK, so I send all my Address Book contacts to the phone as vCards. Works great, all there.
Then it goes wrong, and it seems the trouble is this:
In Address Book i formatted my numbers to have periods between segments, like: +27.83.555.1234, or 011.412.5555.
It seems W950 cannot handle this. Gives number error report. I cannot handle this. my p910 cruised over this issue.
OK, so i open Address Book and change the number format so that it contains no periods, like: +27 (83) 555-1234. Later I remove all punctuation, like +27 835551234. It sucks but Im getting desperate.
In address book all numbers are changed and in the chosen format.
I then delete all contacts on W950, and resend from mac as vCards.
AND HERE IS THE THING: most of the numbers newly sent to the phone still retain the period-format. some have taken on the new format, but very few. ive done it several times over, trying different things, sending one contact single, sending batch... nothing works, it retains the very first format.
Argh.
Short of manually editing each number for 380 contacts, Is there anyone that can help me here?
