I have a standard 02 online pay n go and I 've found I can download large files over GSM and GPRS , it seems to depend on how the WAP site configures it's download page, the T68i doesn't seem to display images larger than 3kb when downloaded but can download large files into my pictures. If you get to a large file size page and it gives you the option to press 'yes' to download then the phone displays 'unkown size incoming file, continue?', you can the download up to around 30kb over 02's WAP gateway. If you post a larger than 3kb file on a page the T68i fails downloading it, but you cant download it pressing 'yes' unless the web page is set up for it, I have changed the coding on my site to allow this and can download happily.
Is this coorect, I'm trying to clear up what is a very confusing area for WAP/GPRS.

Mate. Use sony ericsson gateway so you can download large file more than 3k .just search gateway on esato website.;-) This post was posted from a T68i

Thanks Laffen, good explanation, all peeps trying to mess with their IP address are not aware of this, my GSM connection using the standard ip address from 02 can download up to 30kb, but only as a download link as you confirm.
