I have a Palm Tungsten T2 in my drawer, collecting dust. I hardly used it.

I bought it for my university studies, since I wanted a good calendar and something portable to write on during lessons. The external keyboard I got for it lacked the swedish symbols and it was slow. I could connect it to my T610 to surf the internet, but the browser was useless. The OS did have a program that supposedly would allow me to write sms on it and send it through my mobile, but it wouldn't work. I made an effort in trying to use it as an MP3-player but transfering songs took ages and the sound was way too low.

To be honest, the Tungsten series wasn't made for people like me in the first place. It was made for business men, and I kind of knew that when I bought it. I just couldn't shake off the fact that I thought it looked so damn cool. And now Palm has done it again.

The Palm Folio is marketed as a mobile companion for business men. This quote says it all:

"Let's face it. Most of what you do on the go revolves around email. You need to open attachments. Review reports and presentations. And stay in touch with your team. You don't, however, always need to carry around gigs of files. With a smartphone and the Palm® Foleo™ mobile companion in hand, you're able to carry only what you need. Not everything you have."

Most of what I do don't revolves around e-mail. But I just can't shake of the fact that it looks so damn cool. And it starts INSTANTLY. I wonder if the Opera browser support flash. I guess the key question is if it ever will have support for phones other than those with Windows Mobile OS, such as and Symbian.

What do you guys think about this "revolution of mobile"?

It's a very interesting idea, but I don't know if many people will have use of it.

Can say any thing about its value and usability but the design is very good!

It's going to be really interesting to see what can be done with the OS, since it's Linux.

This might be Palm's comeback, to be honest.
