I dont know why, but I see the P900 a better multitasker performer thn the P990!

anyone agreeing? if yes, then why do you think so? isnt the P990 more advanced??

Yes, my old P910i was able to play the music player and the Opera browsing both at the same time. Made a C format, updated the sw and still can't do that. Not talking about other issues, I really need those two AT THE SAME TIME...f@cking phone.

P990 is not a multitasking phone, anyone can testify to that (except for SE of course). It's a bold statement, but true nevertheless. I'm a satisfied user mainly because I don't need a few apps running concurrently, but a great many business users would be utterly disppointed with this phone because 64mb of RAM is obviously not enough memory for such a capable phone. A very bad and costly decision for SE to make, the decision maker should already be fired by now so SE, let's not go to that sticky murky icky place again

And may I add that the serious memory leak (5mb leak for 1 day uptime) is just adding salt to the wound. Hope the next fw would fix this, it would improve multitasking if addressed accordingly

Yes I have R5 and am dying for R6 already !

And still, the P990 is faaaaaaaaaar behind the P900 interms of multitasking.

AFAIK UIQ3 device use a different kind memory than UIQ2 device and it's cheaper, which require application in ROM need RAM to work (just like PC).

UIQ2 memory support ...... ..i forgot the word, sorry...... but basically the application in ROM don't need RAM to work.

that's why UIQ2 device has a better multitasking job than UIQ3 device
