you can only zoom in with the camera in VGA mode and not when its in 1Mp or 2MP mode?
you can zoom in video mode but not i picture mode??

off topic imo, but somewhat related; zooming in vga mode makes full use of the MP capabilities of the phone, whereas zooming in MP mode is bad... similarly video, which is shot at low res...

All
handsets with 2mp camera modules made after the K750, W800, W810 only have zoom enabled if the camera is set to VGA resolution. This has been going on for a litle over 12 months now.
