I am interested in what EMS icons are installed on your phones:

My K610i had the blueish ones to start, and kept them when I SEUS updated to R1JE001, but after a service centre re-flash of R1JE001 I now have the colourful ones...

I was interested if SonyEricsson have changed the default EMS icons, the review of the K810 on mobile review shows the old blue ones still. Also SEUS does not seem to change them.

When I bought my K800i from a phone dealer here, I got those bluish characters--like a piggy cartoon--and they remain unchanged although I updated mine through SEUS. But when I flashed totally via Wotanserver, they change into colorful ones. A friend whose phone got updated at a SE service centre also experience this new change. I guess SE new customisations play an important role in this case. Check under your Software info. Customisations bla bla bla. I used to have R4A but after Wotan flash I have R6A. That may be the reason. I may be wrong, but these new icons are definitely sweet, aren't they?

I think every model has got slightly different animations, but in general they still mean the same...still express the same emotion, just looks differently....

I know of only 3 styles....

The two I illustrated above, plus there were simpler colourful ones in my old K700 and K600 (both phones same icons).

I have the 3-UK customisation now.

I was interested as to they have changed the icons with the generic customisation, along with the software updates.

I think the new EMS icons are much better than the older ones, more colourful and detailed... Although a lot of people don't know they are there, especially as Nokia phones do not support EMS yet SE, Motoroloa and Samsung all do.
