> K Series and W series : Identical MP3 Players ?

Hello guys
just another thought for all of u .....
Sony Ericsson's models have been centered around the W-series and K-series stressing the importance of sound and camera respectively.
i have had a W550i, W800i and now own a K550i.
Now the important question.......
Do u think that sound clarity in the k and w series aren't that different.
What is ur opinion guys ?????
Again here are my options .....
A) Both k and w series players have identical mp3 players with
regards to their sound quality.
B) Walkman player and k series mp3 player are the same just the
difference in the skin its using with walkman carrying a walkman type
skin.
C) No way, W series is superior in sound quality.
D) Both have the same clarity but the supplied headsets vary and so we
feel w series has more clarity.
E) When I use walkman headsets in my k series sound quality matches
the w series.
Guys here's my experience......
Sony only provides AVERAGE headsets with k series models. Just change them and use a WALKMAN headset (HPM- 70 or 75) and the phone has same quality in sound as the w series.
so my ANSWER
:: A + E

I have also noticed the same. K750 sounds same with HPM-70 as on W810. No Difference.

there is no difference in walkman and K series phones. Both use the same audio chip, which is quite a shame really.

my opinion on SE media player (except k750 one)
Walkman V1:
+Megabass
+Responsive and quick interface (than Walkman2) (when scrolling thru songs)
+One stop Walkman and Play button ~ convenient
+No Auto Gain Control* in early firmware
+Integrated Video Player
-Cannot type-to-find songs in playlist like Walkman 2
-Playback continue when headset disconnected
-Walkman skin only available in orange
-Equalizer does not work when connected to MMC60 cables.
Walkman V2:
+Megabass
+Type-to-find songs possible, unlike walkman1
+Track ID
+Playback paused when headset disconnected
+Nice interface with multiple colour as choice
+Integrated Video player
+Fade in and Fade Out effect
-Slow interface (compared to W1 on 90%full memory)
-Lack of Play/pause button
-Auto Gain Control*
Newer K-series Media Player
+quite okay interface (like Walkman 1)
+Play/pause button (avail in K800)
+Playback paused when headset disconnected
+Fade in and Fade Out effect
-Cannot scroll thru songs in playlist
-No one-stop walkman button
-no megabass (though i dun prefer it)
-Auto Gain Control*
-Separate Video Player
in same song, same volume, same headset,
overall Kseries and Wseries produce same sounds (when AGC not present).
in loudspeaker, of course they all different each other.
for the loudest i vote for W550
for the best quality vote go to W850
*AGC can be noticed while using any EQ above normal and volume around 15-16 / 16. the sounds will be sustained and this is annoying.
however, can be greatly reduced when using 192kbps songs or greater.
got 2 w810 for example. the early one does not have this, but another one bought early this year have it.
just my 2 cents, do not blame me if u hv differ opinion. ;D
hence for me its clear, A, D, and E
