> Weak mobile reception area - does this work?
Bookmark topic
I've just moved to a new area (Gerrards Cross) and I can hardly get a signal with 02 and 3 in my new place - I've been looking on the net for something to help me get a signal - does anyone know of anything like a signal booster to help?
Do these work or are they gimmics!?

Im not sure about that little gadget but I do know that if there are places with bad signal all you do is contact the network and they will mount signal boosters in the relevant places for free. Shopping centres, car parks, lodges and homes etc etc
Try it.

As far as i know if your phone can take a plug in adaptor aerial then i have heard things like that can work. Contact phone manufactuer to see if they have devices that can help or shops. When i was on Vodafone years ago i found out there signal is poo where i live so i contacted them and all they say is we are always updating our coverage and it may take 6 months or more before it improves. Thats cos they gotta get planning permission. Anyway good luck the only other alternative is switch networks.

if it was that simple, the phone manufacturers would have it incorporated into the phone anyway.
The only way to boost reception is a bulky external antenna.

Wish I could change network but It's a 2 month old contract taken out at my old address where the network was 100% fine.
Anyone know of any phones that can handle external antenna's? I might just change my handset for this as I'm spending £40 a month on line rental and don't want a home phone bill after spending that sort of money a month
