I've found this very useful recently on this web site and others such as Youtube, you can convert an entire web page into english, spanish, japanese etc or just blocks of text.

I should think many people have known about that for years as its probably the most popular free translation service, but it doesn't hurt to mention it for those that are not aware

Indeed I have linked to may foreign language reviews of phones via that page so that and English translation can be read more easily.

strangely, and I work for a French company where there is a need to do the odd translation but that site is blocked by our firewall!

...I worked as a translator for 20 yrs, and yeah, for a rough outline babelfish is very good... But I'd recommend to always doublecheck by translating the translation back to the source-language (so if you transl. a phrase from eng. to japanese, retranslate the japanese result back to english! If it's a very important assignment, do that reverse-check using 2 or 3 different machines! you'd be amazed at the weird results ).
